Weight Loss and Fat Loss Part I – Tips to Trick Your Body Into Losing Weight

For a healthy person weight loss is simple: burn more calories than you consume. Your healthiest weight is determine by height to weight ratio or Body Mass Index (BMI) and the amount of fat in your body. Unfortunately over 60% of the North American population are considered to be overweight according to the BMI index because of unhealthy diet with foods high in saturated fat and trans fat, causing many diseases and becoming a heavy burden to our national heath care system. For many people losing weight is easy, but keeping that lost weight is the big problem. In fact if you have a permanent weight loss plan, you will have no problem maintaining that lost weight. Here are some tips that may help and you might want to keep them in mind in daily diets.1.Replace high density with Low nutrition density foodsLow density food such as fruits and vegetables are bulky, filling and contains less calories meaning it can help you lose weight and control your hunger. By consuming fewer calories, you can lose weight over time and keep it off forever.2. Fluff up your foodsFood with extra air whipped has fewer calories. Study shows that people drinking longer air whipped milkshake consume 28% less calories than normal milkshakes, because milkshake blended longer adds air and volume.3. Foods to avoidAvoid eating foods that are high in saturated and trans fat. Dip fried foods can contain high calories and any extra fat will be stored away for future use, causing weight gain. Also saturated fat and trans fat might cause arteries to clogg up with bad cholesterol, resulting in heart diseases.4. Limit food varietyAn overload of food will make you go beyond fullness just because you want to taste everything. Limit only a few selection of snacks in your house so you will eat less, because you will get tired of the same old foods.5. Replace high calorie drink with low calorie beverages or waterStudy shows that you can put on weight without realizing by drinking high calorie beverages, because high calories beverages go right through your stomach with out registering it. Therefore you might intake a lot of calories, but your stomach will still feel hungry.I hope that this information will help, if you need more information of above subject please visit my home page:

How to Find the Will to Lose Weight

What’s the #1 issue preventing would-be dieters from succeeding? Is it knowledge? Technique? Availability of information?

It’s not any of the above. 90% of failed diets can be traced back to one problem: the dieter couldn’t stay motivated. Have you ever tried to lose weight, only to give up after a few weeks? Did you get discouraged after seeing only mediocre results, and quit?

We’ve all been there at one point or another, so don’t beat yourself up about it. Dieting’s not easy but you’ve got to find the will to lose weight. The grass is really greener on the other side in this case-with a healthier, leaner body, you’ll go through life with more energy, other people will treat you with more respect, and you’ll be happier in a dozen different ways.

Fortunately, when it comes to getting motivated, there’s a little trick you can employ. It will seem simple, but you’ll be astounded at how effective it is. The reason it’s effective is because it gives you the confidence and courage to persist with your diet until the end… and persistence is what yields results.

The trick is easy: find a diet plan which is thorough. One which covers all the bases, from start to finish. Your diet plan should leave no stone unturned-it should have a proven track record of success, and it should map out exactly what you need to do, with the highest level of detail. Armed with your blueprint, it’s infinitely easier to find the will to lose weight.

Think about it-do we prefer to face large, amorphous problems with no obvious solutions? Or are we better at tackling those problems when they’re broken down into a set of step-by-step instructions. It’s just how the human brain works-let us do things one step at a time, and enjoy a sense of achievement each time we complete a step.

Of all the diet plans I’ve ever seen, the best one for actually generating the will to lose weight is FatLoss4Idiots. This plan is great because in addition to using scientifically proven weight loss techniques, I simply can’t imagine clearer directions-you input the foods you like to eat and it literally generates daily meal menus for you. Follow the instructions line by line for 11 days, and you will lose weight (or they’ll give you your money back). It’s that simple.

The response to my recent FatLoss4Idiots review has been amazing; positive feedback has poured in. People are finding the will to lose weight with this diet.

Christian Weight Loss – #1 Reason People Lose Weight But Can’t Keep it Off

Which is easier to do, lose weight or keep it off?  Studies have shown that most anyone has been able to lose some weight, but very few have reached their weight loss goal and kept the weight off.

If you can’t keep the weight off, wouldn’t it make sense to figure out why you have this problem?

Why can’t people keep the weight off?  I’ve heard all sorts of reasons, but whatever the reason, for most people they all boil down to one thing; temptation.  The temptation to overeat or pig out on junk food.

Where does temptation come from?  A secular view would say you tempt yourself or other people tempt you and that self discipline will stop it.  Give me a break, if that were true there wouldn’t be so many people struggling with their weight.

Let’s start with the basics. Do you believe the devil exists?  If you don’t, you might as well stop reading and good luck with trying to keep weight off.  If you do, read on.

I would like to interrupt this article for a brief message.  If you are thinking of skipping the rest of this article, the devil is tempting you right now!

What does it mean to tempt?  The American Heritage Dictionary defines tempt as, “to entice (someone) to commit an unwise or immoral act, especially by a promise or reward.”  In other words, someone or something else is doing the tempting, you can’t tempt yourself.  If you are struggling with keeping weight off, you aren’t tempting yourself to overeat or pig out on junk food.  Since you aren’t tempting yourself, you cannot solve the problem of keeping weight off until you eliminate the power of temptation.  You cannot eliminate the power of temptation until you acknowledge who is tempting you and take steps to counter them.

As a Christian you know the devil exists.  You also know he used food in his temptation of Adam and Eve.  It worked so well for him the first time; don’t you think he’d keep using food as a temptation?

The devil is tempting you every waking hour of your day.  How do you know?  Whenever you have a thought to do something you shouldn’t (an unwise act), he’s working on you.  Watch TV instead of doing chores (the devil).  Skip breakfast (the devil).  Stay up late watching TV instead of going to bed (the devil).  Overeat (the devil).  Pig out on junk food (the devil).

He is tempting you all the time.  You cannot stop his temptations, but you can eliminate the power his temptations have over you.

The devil is a supernatural being.  He is using temptation to keep you overweight (he likes it when we are unhappy).  Thinking you can defeat him by yourself is like a toddler running in the Olympics, you’ve got no chance.  You need the help of another supernatural being (God) to defeat him.

I said before the devil is tempting you every waking hour of your day.  How often are you involving God in your day?  Do you just visit him on Sunday?  Are you starting to see why you are having trouble keeping weight off?

If you develop an awareness of the everyday presence of God, and use the abilities he has given you, you can eliminate the devil’s power of temptation.  How do I know?  With God’s help I have done so.  I did not change the foods I eat; I eliminated the power of temptation to overeat.  I did not give up junk food, I eliminated the power of temptation to pig out (yes it is possible to eat just one).  I’ve lost over 20 pounds and my 6 pack is starting to show (not bad for a 51 year old).

So, it is very simple.  I believe for most people the problem is not diet; it’s the power of temptation that is left in the devil’s hands.  As I see it you have two choices; keep bouncing from diets to magic pills, ignoring the obvious – and the devil just keeps laughing, or you can allow God into your everyday life.  He is just waiting for you to ask.

It’s your choice.

God bless.

Improve Your Motivation to Lose Weight

Most people will know that there are too many weight loss products that fail to give you what they say they will. After so many attempts the motivation to lose weight begins to disappear.
However not all weight loss methods are useless and they practice healthy ways towards weight loss. So why is it that so few people manage to aquire the goal of weight loss?
One of the major issues that can make the difference between who succeeds and who fails is the ability keep your willpower strong.
All diets and weight loss products are useless if you don’t have the willpower to see them through. In all honesty most people who want to succeed end up losing the motivation before losing the weight.
The Motivation to lose weight seems to be strong in the beginning; however it does not take long for this to disappear. This is a common situation but can be avoided if done properly. It is just as important to work on the mind as it is to work on the body.
As soon as you start to get the feelings that you are starting to find things difficult, stop worrying about it. Accept that you are getting these feelings and that they are completely normal. Once you can learn to accept something you no longer have to fight against it.
I am not talking about giving up I am talking about knowing that you have these feelings in your head and there is nothing wrong with them. Go back to the feelings that you had at the start. Why you wanted to lose weight and how motivated you first felt. Write down all the reasons you had for wanting weight loss.
Was it so that you look and feel more attractive? Was it because you wanted to become healthier? Was it because you wanted more energy?
Whatever the reasons were write them all down and focus on those reasons. The motivation to lose weight can become stronger with practice. The more you think about motivation, and the less you think about how hard it is, the better off you will be.
The truth is that the more you think about something the bigger it gets. Have you ever had a problem where you find that the more you dwell on this problem the bigger and more stressful it seems to get?
What many people don’t realise is that this works both ways, focusing on good things on a regular basis will also result on those good things the better you will feel, motivation can be improved in this way too.
Start to think about what results you are going to get, how you are going to look, how others will see you, how you are going to feel; try to see these thoughts as pictures in your mind. This is called visualization and can be a very valuable tool.
Stay positive, stay determined, stay strong, stick with your goals, visualize, think of these things everyday and your motivation to lose weight will go from strength to strength.

How Will You Succeed In Losing Weight?

In the United States over 60% of people are overweight and 30% of those are described as being obese. The figures in the UK do not read much better, where 43% of men and 33% of women are overweight. In addition to this, however, in the UK an extra 23% of women are classed as obese as are 22% of men. Age does have an impact on weight gain, with 77% of men in the 64 – 75 age range overweight and 71% of women. Too much body fat is not just a cosmetic problem. In the UK alone, according to a report in the Daily Mail newspaper, 1 in 11 deaths can be directly attributed to carrying too much weight. The figure of 300,000 adults dying from fat-related illnesses has been released in the United States. Studies undertaken by the Childhood Obesity Statistics notes that obesity figures in children is heading towards epidemic proportions.
The problem is almost too big to conceive and it is escalating, with the number of vastly overweight children hitting the news more and more frequently. It has been acknowledged that overweight runs in families, either through inherited poor nutrition or lack of sufficient exercise, but despite it always being thought that children would grow out of their ‘puppy fat’, these days, children rarely do and go on to become overweight, and often unhealthy, adults, passing their poor nutritional habits on to their children. Children are probably not helped by frequenting Fast Food Restaurants where extra large portions are freely on offer, along with sugary drinks, doughnuts and other sugary snacks.
What about weight loss plans, though? Why are these not helping? After all, there are plenty of them around. The problem with weight loss plans, they are based on calories in/calories out and, if somebody’s body weight is so high that the calorie ratio cannot be met, the overweight person would have to survive on so few calories that it would be almost impossible for them to live especially when you think that a person who is vastly overweight would have to remain on that weight loss plan for many many months. In the end, it is hardly feasible.
A huge part of the problem is the pace of life in the 21st century, usually with both adults in a household working from early morning and returning home to children, housework, cooking and attempting to maintain some degree of family life amongst this daily maelstrom. In the end everybody ends up exhausted and too tired to do much more than flop in front of the television, despite the fact that they know it is not a good idea to be so indolent. Food is eaten quickly, food shopping is undertaken in a hurry and fattening processed foods full of saturated fats are the easiest to prepare quickly and are often the basic ingredients in many of the ready meals marketed for busy families.
It is hardly surprising that after failure follows failure overweight people either completely give up trying to lose weight, or they turn to alternatives such as hypnosis and acupuncture or to dietary supplements and finally, to bariatric surgery – a last resort which has seen many successes since it increased in popularity. Meanwhile, the weight loss supplement is huge, with websites devoted to Acai berries, Hoodie Gordonii, Ororo Detox, Lipobind, Proactol plus many more. These are the tip of the iceberg and basically, if you are overweight and have not succeeded in losing weight yet, studies have found that you will be ready to try absolutely anything to help you find the Holy Grail of just becoming a normal size.

Is It Really Possible To Lose Weight Eating Junk?

For millions of adults and children fast food and increased inactivity has led to obesity. For some people junk food has become a way of life, they are addicted to it and if everyone in your family for example eats junk food then it is very hard to eat healthy. But it is not impossible at all.

There is so much talk about junk food. People know that it is unhealthy and makes people fat but what is the exact definition of junk food. Well junk food and fast food  is an informal term applied to some foods with little or no nutritional value, or to products with nutritional value but which also have ingredients considered unhealthy when regularly eaten, or to those considered unhealthy to consume at all. The term was coined by Michael Jacobson, director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, in 1972.

Factors contributing to labeling as junk food are high levels of refined sugar, white flour, trans fat and saturated fat, salt, and additives such as preservatives and coloring agents. Others include lack of proteins, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients for a healthy diet. Junk food is associated with health problems including obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and dental cavities. Problems with fast food may not be apparent to children, hence advertising aimed at children has come under criticism.

Most kids and also adults who eat junk food are also inactive. If you combine these two, then you will get a very serious and unhealthy combination. Our modern lifestyle has caused all of the problems we have and once you have fallen into the trap of fast food and inactivity, then it is almost impossible to get out of it.

How many people do you know how have tried to eat healthy, lose weight and train, but have failed? Maybe you are one of them? The reason why so many people fail is that there is information overload. There are thousands of diets, magic pills, supplements, miracle weight loss exercise programs and what not. To be honest 95% of the information is junk and is made to rip you off with empty promises.

There is no magic pill that makes you lose weight and makes you look like a supreme athlete. You have to do it the hard way. It is very hard for people to change their lifestyle. But to be healthy and lose weight you have to change your lifestyle. It is the only way.

It is not impossible to change your habits and start living a healthier life. The most important factor about it all is knowledge. If you have the knowledge and you know what you have to do to be successful, then you have done most of the work already.

It is never to late to change your lifestyle. If you have the desire and motivation then nothing will stop you. People just have to stop finding silly excuses. You know junk food is bad for you and if you don´t exercise you will have serious problems. Today could be the first day of the rest of your life. Make changes today not tomorrow. You will be surprised what you can actually accomplish.

Weight Loss Program – Can It Help Me To Lose Weight Faster?

I’ll admit it. One of the hardest things I have ever done in my life is trying to lose weight. Not because of lack of motivation or commitment, no, I had PLENTY of that. The problem for me was deciding on the ‘how’. It seems as if everywhere you look, there is a new diet out on the market that promises incredible way to help you lose weight and have a perfect body. The before and after weight lose all look fantastic and are enough to sway just about anyone who is desperate to achieve the body they desire.

The choices seem endless and all too often, at least for me anyways, I ended up making the wrong choice. So, how does someone know what is the RIGHT weight loss program for them? The first step in any successful weight loss management is and will always be an exercise program which may include weight strength training. Nothing is a substitute for getting up and getting moving.

Check with your doctor, make sure you have no health problems that would prevent you from getting physical, and get to it! Jumping rope, jogging, even brisk walking will start the calories burning and get your program off to a great start. In addition, make sure to add some resistance training to your regimen. For those less experience out there, this means weight lifting. Don’t groan, I know what you’re thinking, but here are the facts.

Muscle burns fat. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. Even while you are sitting down watching TV, your muscles will be burning fat. Now, don’t think that just because I am talking about lifting some weights you are going to turn into some bulky bodybuilder. That just doesn’t happen. Your physique will become toned, your muscles will start to show, and your clothes will fit better. All the things you want to have happen. Now, exercise alone may not be all you need.

For some of us, quality weight losing programs are what we need in addition to our exercise routines, but back to the original question, how do we know which one to pick? When choosing a weight loss plan or product, the key thing to keep in mind is, “Is this something that I could do?” Be sure to learn all the parameters of the program or product and ask yourself this question. Try to picture yourself following the guidelines and outlined and be realistic with yourself. Is this something you will really stick to? Does the cost fit into your budget? Are there any special foods or supplements you will need to purchase?

Many people begin weight loss program with the best of intentions, but decide later on that they made the wrong choice. Had they done a little more research beforehand, they likely would have had more success.

How to lose weight is an issue for many people all over the world. The health implications alone are certainly a reason to take some action, but it is the results we see as our bodies’ change that really motivates us to continue and hopefully, eventually succeed. If you take your time, do your research, commit to an exercise regimen as well as a program or product that is right for you, then you too can join the thousands of people every year who have success with a weight loss program.

Add 10 Years to Your Life by Losing Weight

If you are currently struggling to maintain a healthy weight, then it turns out there’s more than just a fashionable waistline to be gained by losing weight. In fact, a recent major international study shows that people who are overweight or obese are reducing their life expectancy by up to ONE DECADE. British researchers have pulled together studies that include a million people, including Australians, to look at how a person’s Body Mass Index (BMI) can be a predictor of early death. So if you are looking for motivation to lose weight, how does an extra ten years sound?

We’re often so caught up with the way we look in comparison to all those skinny supermodels out there, but I call this an unhealthy obsession with thin-ness. In fact, we should me aiming at maintaining a health weight for our age and height that allows us to enjoy our lives at every level. Obviously if you are overweight, you’re not going to have a great quality of life. On the other hand if you starve yourself life isn’t exactly going to be a picnic either; balance is the key.

News reports quoted the following: “Almost 70,000 of the test subjects died during the study, and the fewest of these came from the group with a healthy body shape (BMI of 22.5 to 25). At the other end of the scale, people with a BMI indicating they were overweight (30 – 35 BMI) were shown to have died up to four years earlier than expected. Those in the obese category (40 – 45 BMI) reduced their survival by eight to ten years, the same as life-long smokers.”

The study also found that with every five point increase in BMI, the person increased their chance of dying during the study by 30 per cent. The major causes of death were vascular and kidney problems such as heart attack or diabetes.

In case you haven’t hear of BMI before, a person’s BMI rating is a calculation which takes in their weight and height. For example, a person who is 170cm tall and who weighs 70kg has a BMI of 24.2 – this is considered to be within the healthy range. If you don’t want to do the calculations yourself, then you will find lots of BMI calculators on the internet that will do it for you. Whatever the case, it’s worth finding out what your BMI is. It will give you an indication of whether or not you are a healthy weight.

So if you need to lose weight when is the best time to get started? Well, now is as good a time as any. Many people view losing weight as something they will do ‘one day’ or ‘when they get around to it. That’s half the problem; then one day you wake up and you realize you’re 15 kilos overweight and struggling to enjoy life. As you get older, you must take better care of yourself. When we’re younger our metabolism is much faster, so we burn calories much more easily. This makes it easier to consume a diet of highly processed and fatty foods while still maintaining a healthy weight. But once you hit 25, it gets a little harder. This is the time when you may start to gain weight.

A few lifestyle changes such as regular weight bearing exercise and a diet rich in fresh, non-processed foods can make all the difference. That doesn’t mean you have to become a monk – you can sill enjoy some of the less nutritional foods and lose weight at the same time. My 37 year old client ‘Laurie’ discovered this after several years of trying to shift a couple of kilos that had settled rather uncomfortably around his belly. This was a bit of a shock to ‘Laurie’, who had been reed thin all his life until a couple of years ago.

And ‘Laurie’s’ diet reflected the indifference of a teenager; it was riddled with fat, sugar and salt; a surefire recipe for a heart-attack. But with a little tweaking, Laurie was able to drop the kilos and still enjoy some of the things he loved to eat. Whatever age you are, it’s never too late to change. Losing weight will help you to feel better about everything; furthermore, achieving a healthy weight will give you more time to enjoy life.
